Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to Pre-Cam Community School for the 2013-2014 academic year. The beginning of the school year is always an exciting time for both the students and the staff. For the students, there is the prospect of making new friends, renewing old friendships,
as well as all the stimulating learning activities and the extra-curricular activities. For the staff, there is the expectation of getting to know a whole new group of students and see the exciting changes that will happen over the course of the year.
If you are a new family to our school, please stop in to visit and introduce yourselves. We have an open door policy at Pre-Cam Community School and you are welcome any time. We do ask that you report to the office when you arrive for a visit so that we are
aware of who is in our school at all times. If you would like to volunteer in your child’s classroom, please contact their teacher to set up convenient times. As parents and staff working together for the benefit of our students, there is a much greater likelihood of
student success. To help you to understand and support our school, I invite you to read through your child’s School Agenda. In it you will find the dates for school events, guidelines for student conduct, and other important information. We also send home our weekly
newsletter and teachers send home a monthly class newsletter.
I hope that throughout the school year, you will feel free to come and visit our school. Please join us for our special events such as the Family BBQs, Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences, Star Reader Awards, and various assemblies. If you wish to have an even
greater influence, I would invite you to become involved with the Pre-Cam School Community Council; volunteer to help your child’s teacher; and/or assist with any of our Council sponsored activities.
We build a better school when we work together!
Best wishes for the coming school year.
Through the strength of our diverse community, our mission is to ensure that all students reach a high level of academic achievement, measured through common assessment practices, while developing positive personal and social values and skills.
