Parents and Guardians,
Welcome back to Pre-Cam Community School for the 2019-2020 school year. I am excited to be working with you, striving to make our school the best that it can be. If you are a new parent or guardian to our school, I hope that you will find the time to stop by and say hello!
Providing a safe, positive, and caring environment for all of our students and their families is essential to our success. This year we will continue with our many school, division, and provincial initiatives in literacy and numeracy. In order to achieve these goals, we will need your help to meet our attendance target of at least 90 percent. As principal, I am committed to doing my part in supporting everyone as we work together to enhance and improve our students’ many achievements.
To help you support your child/children at Pre-Cam, I invite you to read this handbook. In it you will find the dates for school events, guidelines for student behaviour, and other important information. Communication is important to us, so we intend to continue sending home our weekly school newsletter, posting important information on our Facebook page, keeping our website up to date, and teachers will continue to send their monthly class newsletters as well. Please look for these and read through them with your child/children.
I hope that throughout the school year, you will come and visit us. If you wish to have a greater influence, I invite you to get involved with the Pre-Cam School Community Council; volunteer to help your child’s/children’s teacher(s); or help with any or all of our council sponsored activities. Together, we are able to build a better school!
All the best this coming school year!
Through the strength of our diverse community, our mission is to ensure that all students reach a high level of academic achievement, measured through common assessment practices, while developing positive personal and social values and skills.
We want everyone in our school to be responsible, be respectful, be safe, and be kind.
